Do you think
to log onto social media avenues when looking to get a service like electrical
repairs or upgrades? Probably not to many of you do for the most part, and when
it comes to the business owners, this number is probably a lot smaller. What
many people do not realize is that these type of marketing hits an untapped
resource of people that are just looking for a way to express themselves about
their experience with local companies. It’s this reason alone that it also
makes sense to surf these networks as a consumer to find a quality electrical
service and repair company. When making repairs to your home, it’s important to
find or seek out as much quality info on the level of experience of the
companies you are thinking of going with. This will ensure quality the first
time you pay for work done with you hard earned dollars.
Here are
some interesting stats: More than 66% of adults are connected to one or more
social media platforms, but who exactly are these people? Women gravitate
toward Pinterest and young, techie men hang out on Google+. Pinterest has the
heaviest gender imbalance — 82% of users are women, who pin crafts, gift ideas,
hobbies, interior design and fashion. On the other spectrum, Google+ is
dominated by men (71%) and early adopters, engineers and developers. About 50%
of Google+ users are 24 or younger. Some sites’ users are more demographically
alike than others. One thing is the same for most social sites — college
students, or those who have completed some college, represent the majority on
social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Digg and Reddit. Among
Facebook users, 57% have completed some college, and 24% have earned a
bachelor’s or master’s degree, although, people 45 and older make up 46% of
Facebook users.
I know it’s easy to thinking that surfing these sites will
only cause more headaches then making things better, often times you can do a
quick Google search or use the search tool on the site to find exactly what you
want to know. You can even do this when you’re searching for a quality Houston
Electricians. While there are plenty of social
network sites to choose from these days each one offers its own demographics.
For example Pinterest is made up of mostly women while Facebook favors middle
and older age generations as younger kids gravitate towards Tumblr and other
new forms of social media expression. To better portray how certain
demographics use social networking and to show the pull those social networks
have over users the team at Go-Gulf.com created social network info graphic. Some statistics we already knew, for
example Facebook rules the pack with 901+ million users. Other facts though are
interesting, for example learning that Pinterest is still dominated by 68.2 %
women.
Sometimes it’s easy to
just pick up the phone and call the first company you see online or in the
phone books, but just think about how easy it is to put something somewhat nice
looking in front of you would be. Even talking to your friends and family could
lead you right into poor quality work, but if like unbiased reviews about your
area’s service and repair companies, then I would suggest blogs and other
socials media avenues.
